Two ends of a pantomime cow

So it is all over for another year and we now head straight into 2006. Christmas never really happened for Carl and I – on Christmas morning, mid present giving, Carl rushed to the loo and was violently sick for about an hour – I have never seen anything like it – real Linda Blair moment. About an hour later, I was feeling rather poorly and had to rush to put the other end in the bowl. We were like the two ends to a pantomime cow!

Both of us were very ill for the whole day and didn’t really get any solid food in our mouths until about the 28th. We therefore missed the whole of Christmas lunch and spend about 4 days either asleep or lying prostrate on the sofa watching movies. Good thing about this is that it forced us to take some time out and recover; bad thing is that by the time we got better all turkey was long gone! Boo hoo!
Never mind – there is always next year!

Watched a HEAP of movies though that I have been saving up on the hard disk recorder – original King Kong, Dead Men Don’t Wear Plaid, Minority Report (which gets more brilliant every time I see it), I Walked With A Zombie, Mildred Pierce (genius), Bringing Up Baby (hilarious), Finding Neverland (surprisingly moving), Rules Of Attraction (rubbish but worth it for Ian Somerhalder in his pants), Sphere (awful), Les Diabolique (still creepy), Cat People (original) and a stack more – I have become a real couch potato! Anyway – ready to attack the world again tomorrow when work begins. Have also spent a lot of time planning out trip to South Africa and it is pretty much done – hotels in Johannesburg booked, cars booked, guest house in Cape Town (luxury for £25 a night each – check it out here), bush safari booked (nearly) here and Bed and Breakfast booked in Knysna. It is a mission this travelling stuff but I am sure that it will be worth it!
